Nick Pitillo’s dream of returning to his native Ellicottville with a trendy restaurant concept is about to become a reality.

Pitillo, who owns Osteria 166 in downtown Buffalo, is bringing that same relaxed, casual dining motif to Ellicottville. Pitillo and his business partner and chef Jeff Cooke have purchased the former Barn restaurant on Monroe Street and will reopening it next month as Villaggio — Italian for village.
